Your business has valuable data. Cyber criminals know how to get it. Are you ready to defend it?
On the 1st July our Technical Director Marc Wickenden will be hosting a series of cybercrime workshops aimed at SMEs and startup businesses.
The event runs from 9.30 to 12.30 and is hosted by Leicester’s DOCK Business Development Team at their impressive new eco building and is kindly funded by Leicestershire City Council and the European Regional Development Fund.
Tickets are free and you can still grab some from Eventbrite at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cybercrime-tickets-11691759367.
Through a series of four half hour workshops Marc will guide attendees through an example of a real world attack against a UK business. The business is fictitious but the attack is not.
You’ll learn how attackers use publicly available information about your business to build effective and tailored attacks, how they breach your firewall and get straight to your data. Most importantly though, we’ll discuss ways you can defend your business against these threats.
Afterwards Marc will be hanging around to give live demonstrations of various hacks including laptop authentication bypass.
So if you’re in Leicester on the morning of 1st July, swing by and spend the morning as a hacker.
